This is the Home Page for the SoftWare Information Group.The group started life as the CP/M User Group about the end of 1981.  It has in recent years developed into a friendly club for computer users of all types including software, hardware and applications users.  The aims of SWIG are to promote all aspects of personal computing with particular emphasis on encouraging the members to provide mutual assistance.
SWIG are always happy to welcome visitors and especially new members, so why not visit the club on one of our club meeting evenings.  We meet from 7.30 pm on the second Monday of every month at the Hyde Association, Hollybush Road, Welwyn garden City (not far from the QE2 Hospital).
Apart from the pleasure of meeting and discussing various aspects of personal computing with other members, at each meeting we try to arrange a talk or demonstration on one particular topic which it is hoped will be interesting for all those present.
In addition, members from time to time bring in equipment for demonstration or to seek advice from others on a particular problem they may have.
